The museum is based in The King’s House, a grade I listed building located opposite Salisbury Cathedral in Cathedral Close, in the centre of Salisbury.
Started in 1860 by Dr Richard Fowler, the museum relocated to The Kings House in 1981. Collections range from Stonehenge archaeology to fine art and fashion. The museum is currently being refurbished in various phases, with Smart providing intruder and CCTV throughout.
